  2. This album is an absolutely fantastic representation of early synth music.(Though Tangerine Dream and Kraftwerk came first, not as many people followed in their footsteps) I liked the Sci-Fi themes of the CD, and Numans Emotional/Emotionless vocals, though my favorite part of his style is the combining of typical synths with typical rock instruments;since most synth pop acts of the time, used /5().

  4. Early Masterpiece from Mr Numan when he was still part of Tubeway Army before he ditched the band and then reformed the band as Gary Numan. Along with Kraftwerk he probably did the most to enhance and hasten the use of Synthesisers in Modern Music, and this album is one of the best to showcase the early analogue Moog and Roland Synths in New /5().

  8. Apr 18,  · Replicas is a groundbreaking and yet unique work - its themes of isolation and dehumanization were co-opted in full by the goth crowd, while the synthesized sound took off for happier pastures at the top of the charts, with Numan left holding his futurist bag/5(75).
